I could lower my monthly mortgage payment to 0 by putting a lump sum of ,000 in. The interest rate i have right now is 5.85%.. So is it like putting that ,000 in a bank account over 27 years (which is the length of my mortgage payment) at a interest rate of 5.85%? [...]
