government grant for homeowners?

is it right that there is a federal government program that credits homeowners atleast 70 thousand dollars on what they owe on the home they bought?

    No such thing — otherwise many homeowners in the USA will have $70,000 of their mortgage immediately paid off

    The Housing and Urban Development in their Grants Available page makes it clear that they do not provide grants to individuals — hence no grants for a person to buy a home http://www.hud.gov/grants/index.cfm
