Is it legal for a finance company to change your payment dates?

after you tell them you want it to stay on the date you had been paying for years.

Inconvenient for you but there is no legal reason that they can not change the payment date as long as you are told when this change will become effective.

Only if the contract states that they can change the due date. Otherwise refer them to the agreement and tell them to pound sand.
