    I reckon you have to have earned income of at least $3000 to qualify for the stimulus package. Check out http://irs.gov

    If you had no taxable income in 2007 then you do not have to file.

    I reckon you get $ 300 if you file a return.
    That will help you, maybe not enough, but it will help.

    you have to file in order to get on the stimulus deal no file no get were you a dependent to any one. I don’t reckon you qualify for it

    No, the grants aren’t eligible income, so if you didn’t have income from a job or from social security or VA disability, you won’t get a stimulus check.

    If your grants covered room and board, you DID have taxable income for 2007. If it’s more than the filing requirement, you need to file.

    Unfortunately, even if taxable, the grants shouldn’t qualify as they weren’t earned income.
