I have a room renter (doesn’t share entire mortgage and none of the utilties). Great person. But she asked if I’d stay w/my boyfriend while two of her family members visited for 4 days. They offered to pay a daily rate. Here’s the deal, I didn’t get that she wanted me to literally disappear and not be here. When I came to meet the strangers who would be in my home, and do a quick clean up of the house for them, I was greeted with a really bad attitude from the renter and one of the family members. I am really angry at the prospect of anyone copping an attitude with me in MY home, yet I can understand the desire to have a private reunion. I would have apologized but they acted really tacky to me in my own home, and I became really angry. If someone cops an attitude rather than sitting down and saying what thier original “expectations” were and how they’d like to see this play out I lose my trust in them. I’m wrong, she’s wrong. Truthfully, I’d like to tell the snotty relative to kiss my behind and make haste in getting a hotel room.
