tax evasion? possibly fraud?

ok back in 2006 i started a job with a tile company, they paid me under the table in personal checks and all were deposited into my personal checking account….now he never gave me any 10-99’s and told me that i didn’t have to claim any income from him. and if i was asked about it that i was to tell them i sold him household stuff from my house and that’s where the money came from…well it went on for 2 yrs and i had some trouble getting loans because they wanted to see a pay stub, well i switched jobs, now the old boss is being audited and called me and told me not to talk to the irs…am i possibly in trouble for not filing those taxes and if so, would it be to my benefit to tell them everything about the business he’s been running and avoiding taxes?
basically i want to make this right and get it over as quickly as possible, what are the reprocussions in doing this?

Anyone ever hear of this with a mortgage company.?

Just curious, My brother Frank bought a home in 04 in a 80, 20 for 200k. 1st was a 8% second was a 12%. two years later his lender told him that he had 70k in equity in his home he had 40k in car loans, cc debt student loans and he got about 25k in cash. his HELOC was about 95k as they rolled his second loan with this HELOC. A year ago he could not make his payment and began to go into foreclose. He tried to work with countrywide to they would not budge. My dad is good with finances and looked over his HELOC papers and noticed they made his income look much more higher, over valued the property. He gave is to our family lawyer to look over it, then that lower refer ed him to a real estate lawyer. The lawyer worked out his deal with countrywide or else there was going to be a lawsuit for fraud. They refinanced both of the loans at the current value, he got a new loan at 6.5% and his home is valued at 160k. Countrywide provided a check at close for 180k for the difference actually it was for 15k more and that got put in his escrow and he got paid that 15k out of his escrow for his trouble. His payment is more then half then what it was. My dad only paid 1,500 for the legal fees.
