Do people see where we are headed?

You can’t just spend money on Healthcare Overhaul, cash for clunkers, stimulus bill filled with garbage, etc. This money must come from somewhere, we already have too much debt. I’m not even convinced all of these programs will help, and it will force us to either raise taxes or watch our debt load explode, and both would be a disaster. We are running up some huge bills, that are going to have to be paid off. It really is a government expansion at the expense of the people. The end result will be higher taxes, people bringing home less, and the government getting massive. It will also weaken the dollar, and threaten our status as having the reserve currency.

It is really no different than the problems we all face each day. We make X amount of dollars, we have X amount of expenses, and either we assume debt, cut back cost, or find a way to generate more money. We are assuming debt and might have to find new ways to generate money. I say cut back and quit running up this tab.

I think the Iraq war and the lives and money we have spent are insane. I’m not a 100% Republican puppet. What do we do with Iraq now is a tough question, I hope our military can figure that one out. Nobody outside the military, has any chance.
As far as the Iraq arguments, two wrongs do not make a right. Just because we blew money on bombs and troops, doesn’t mean we need government run health care which will increase our debt, and decrease the quality of health care. Plus, I don’t think those idiots knew we would be in Iraq for this long. That was bad judgement and planning more than anything.
