Im buying my first home and I locked in the rate today of 6.125 on a 30yr fixed mortgage, was this a excellent rate? I don’t plot to sell it for a long time. It sounded excellent, but I don’t know much about this type of thing.

How to leave an abusive marriage with no money?

This has been a long time coming, I have tried everything I know how to do to save my marriage for our kids sake, but I just can’t do it anylonger.
The reason I am finding it so hard to leave is because I have been a stay at home mom since our kids were born (3 yrs and 3 months) so I have NO money. He has always kept the finances a secret from me, except the small amounts he would deposit into out joint acct. to pay for groceries and some minor misc expenses. My husband has had many great paying jobs over the years and has lost every single one of them due to his inability to get along with anyone. As of recently he lost his job 6 months ago and is being too picky about the requirements of accepting anther job. So we are on the verge of losing our home and everything else we have, because at this point he refuses to work.
Those are just the basics of the situation that I am dealing with, I know I need to leave, but my only family lives 5 hrs away and I am afraid he will try to take the kids. Is there anyway that the court can order support without him having a job?????

Once I file for divorce I plan on immediatly seeking employment to support my family but its not going to be possible alone.

Any advise would be welcomed.

Will this seperation/anxiety worries get easier?

Been with the girlfriend 5 yrs, have boys aged 4 and 2. Buying house together.

I have often believed that i am not relationship material for anyone (even if Cameron Diaz or Claudia Schiffer wanted me!)
I feel suffocated in a relationship. With her it was lust and not love, (more sisterly love) We had sex on average twice a month, which is about ten times less than when we first met! I just do not have the appetite for it even though most guys would be attracted to her.

I told her 3 days ago i will move out and that we have not been happy for a long time, that all we have in common is the kids, she agrees. She had the tears flowing of course, i understand its sad when it comes to seperations. We have had amicable discussions about me finding a place to rent she even helped me to find somewhere, chatted about child custody, finances etc.

Then when i did pack and go, she sent so many SMS messages saying she is so sad and lonely at home (her parents have taken them on vacation) Her parents know. She said she cant bear to be away from kids for some days. Although she wont do anything silly like deny me the right to see them.

I then started to feel guilty at hurting people, and had the thoughts of me being a middle aged man (34 now) and lonely seeing kids few days a week. The prospect of telling my parents and my 4 yo boy.

how the hell do I explain a 4 yo boy that i wont be living with mummy and wont play with him everyday (she says i am the best father in world, which is a compliment).

Last few nights and mornings have been painfull and i reminded me of the stories you hear of people feeling so lonely when they are alone after they go home from work, and go to be alone.

But should i go back to her, i know 110% i would be miserable and make her the same again.

My head says, stay alone (i have many good friends/support so does she) that its for the best, kids will notice unhappy parents. The time spent with kids will be even better. She even said we can do many activities together with boys but as friends. Plus i will have time to myself for things i always want to do but cant.

My heart says go back to stop heartache for everyone (even if i am not happy). I am trying to get my head to overule my heart! But it is not easy!

i need an expert financial answer about debt?

ok so my fiance and i have been together almost 10 years and have two children together. we really want to get married.he has a substantial amount of student loan debt that he hasn’t taken care of… ( he hasn’t made any payments in quite a long time and the fees and penalties add up to alot, they’ve been after him for a while)… we’ve been putting it off for a couple years now mainly because we heard that if we were to get married the collection agencies would come after me and my bank accounts and that his debt would become my debt and they would take from me to settle the debt.

can some one please tell me if there is any truth behind this?? because i really want to get married and so does he…. he has his own personal reasons for not paying it back.. i’ve been trying to get him to take care of it for a long time but he is quite stubborn about it.

Help… my family is treating me like an ATM machine?

I feel like I’m being treated like an ATM machine by my family. I have family members who are in major debt and are working very hard to try to pay them off. My mom owes me $3000 from when I lent her money to pay the property taxes, and she still hasn’t paid me back.
My uncle also recently started to borrow money from me because he found out that I have some money saved up from what my grandfather left me in his will (to be used for my education). I was really hesitant to lend him any, since he has a history of borrowing money from others and not paying them back for a very long time (he still owes a lot of people money). However, he told me he had all these bills to pay and that he needed money urgently; he also promised to pay me back within two weeks, which, thankfully, he did.
Tonight he came over and told me that his taxes are due, and I have to say that he demanded rather than asked me to lend him the same amount of money I lent him last time. I guess he figured it was okay to ask since he paid me back when he said he would last time. I also think he has less reservations about asking me for money now because he assumes I can afford to lend it to him. My grandma keeps telling him how many scholarships and grants I get from school, so he probably figures I haven’t used much of my savings. I feel like it’s really wrong of him to borrow money from me like that, considering that I’m still a student and I don’t have a job yet. I have no income, and rely on just what I’ve saved. At the same time, though, I feel pressured to help my family members out. Although I have to say I’m getting annoyed that he feels he can just ask me and get the money from me right away. I did make him sign an agreement that he’d pay me back within two weeks, so hopefully he keeps his end of the bargain.

I feel really taken advantage of, and I can’t really tell anyone else. I feel that I can’t let anyone in my family know that I have money saved up; otherwise, they would keep asking to borrow some from me. I’m getting sick and tired of being an ATM machine, but I find I have trouble saying “no” to family members.
Both my mom and my uncle own and run their own restaurants, but I guess business hasn’t gone too well lately because of the economy, which is why they find themselves financially strapped and desperate.
Any advice would be appreciated… I am really confused and am not sure what to do at this point.

We were not aware that our home insurance was at renewal time, as we moved in early June we expected renewal to be then also.

Anyway, we had something in the mail suggesting we needed to provide insurance documentation so i quickly leanered we had none. I got a new policy & had them email docs over to Suntrust.

In the meantime we had a lapse of 3 months (yes a long time) But we didnt recieve anything before that point & I have a ton of stuff going on. New business, an 18month old with special needs, so anyways regardless of my issues….. They supposedly selected a company (I dont believe that) I think Suntrust owns said insurance co!

They charged me $4800 for 3 months insurance! Our annual policy is just $2400, so this is a CRAZY inflated rate & I dont know what I can do about it now…….?

If I pay my regular payment less the additional $400 escrow per month they are asking for, will they try to foreclose???

Please any ideas, & no need to reply if you want to tell me I should have known blah blah, I DIDNT so positive responses only please
