1) A friend and I went to a concert in July. I bought both our tickets online with her promise that she would pay me back when we met up. However, neither of us had correct change on the day-of, so we agreed that she’d pay me “another time.” It’s been two months, and she’s now off to uni halfway across the country. The tickets were $31 each, which is enough money to buy a college textbook. I value the friendship, but I could certainly use the money (and she is financially better off than me).

2) In May/June, I loaned a few objects (with incredible emotional/memory significance) to a girl with her word that she would return them when she was finished. She hasn’t needed them for three months now, but she hasn’t returned them yet. I have attempted to contact her several times, with no success. The objects are in no way valuable, but they hold personal significance with me. This girl is not my friend, but more of an acquaintance.
