Wells and U.S. Bancorp see some recovery
Wells Fargo & Co and US Bancorp two of the largest U.S. banks said demand for some loans is rising and posted better-than-expected earnings on Wednesday.

Dear Feds: Thanks for nothing
During the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 when the government stepped in to save the U.S. banking system, no huge institution more defiantly thumbed its nose at Uncle Sam than Wells Fargo.

My current mortgage is through Wells Fargo. We have a local office in the town I live in but would I get lower interest rates by going to a bank and letting them sell my mortgage if they want or if I went directly to them?
