Wasn’t it great when student loan rates were cut under Bush?

Written By: aaren on November 22, 2009 5 Comments

I could combine my loans and pay off with less interest. Wasn’t that fantastic?
happened about 4 years ago when Greenspan cut all interest rates, on account of a failing economy.
sure, quncyguy, it went for being capped at 8% to going as low as 3.5%. My sub AND unsub staffords were locked in at 5%, instead of a variable rate. And I like it as much as I am going to like it when the dems do it

Excellent for you. That will help offset Bush’s tax increase on the middle class that was used to fund his tax cuts for the wealthy.

I dont have any student loans. But I have benefitted from Bush’s economic policies. I recieved $1200 tax cut, and my salary has gone up every year he’s been in office. I’m not wealthy, just an average middle-class American.

odd, could you please tell us when that happened, and what the interest rate was reduced to?

obviously you weren’t speaking of sub and unsub stafford loans, because it has gone up and up and up. maybe private loans aye?
