I applied for a personal Loan from Barclays and got declined about two weeks ago. It says derogatory information on my credit history. But I know I had a very excellent credit history and applied for the online credit reports from Experian and Equifax. The reports are absolutely fine and my credit scores are on Excellent category on both the reports. When ever they are checking my credit history it comes as derogatory information. The bank is unable to help me or they can’t advice me what to do.
But I was really shocked from what I heard from the Bank on last week. They said the Bank is tight on these days and loan department has made a tale to not to offer the loan. So they have unnecessarily place something called derogatory information in front of my name.
My question is what really is this derogatory information?
Can I complain about this to Financial Ombudsman Service?
